How to cope and grind through each day when you feel like your at the lowest point in your life
Right now I feel like I’m at the lowest point in my life. I’m 19 and even though I’m enrolled in second year university I see no future to my path. All my peers are miles ahead of me in terms of achievements and progress towards their future and I’m over here about to fail my first class in university. I have friends that tell me that they struggle too and understand my situation but it seems like they are much more talented than I am since they seem to process information much faster and efficient than I do. Up to this point in my life I have never felt like a class was too hard until now. I have never developed a good plan on how to study and how to process information for future use. This last midterm that I took was the first time I have put effort into studying a week before the exam but come test time I still feel quite unprepared and not confident. It just seems like im behind everyone and that I’m a loser. Each and everyday I feel so miserable hearing that my friends are all getting internships and offers to work at big companies while I barely have anything in my resume let along that I’m failing my classes . It’s gotten so bad to the point where I started turning towards video games to avoid having to feel like a loser that isn’t cut out for the world. This has turned into a bad habit where I start to neglect what’s important… I feel like I can’t continue to live like this since I’m only digging a larger hole for myself but at the same time there is a mental block that tells me that no matter how hard I try it still may not work out. I’m ashamed at the fact I’m failing and I don’t know if I’m the only one who has felt this way.
