I have been reflecting a lot lately about love and dating here in Singapore. It feels like so many of us are caught between traditional expectations and modern dating culture — juggling careers, family pressure, and apps full of people who aren’t always looking for something real. 😅

But I still believe in true love. The kind that’s built on mutual respect, deep connection, and effort from both sides. Not just convenience or “let’s see how it goes” energy. I’ve come to realize that finding real love isn’t about luck — it’s about being honest about what we want, setting standards, and not settling for less than we deserve. It’s tough sometimes, especially when everyone around seems to be coupling up or saying “don’t be so picky.” But being single while waiting for something meaningful is so much better than being with someone who doesn’t value you.
