Considering staying with mom after birth

Postpartum Recovery

I am considering staying with my mom after I have my baby and it breaks my heart a little bit, but my husband is kinda mean when I am sad/ anxious.

He's the type that doesn't really believe in depression and it's something I've struggled with most of my life. I have extreme anxiety about PPD, to the point it was a huge factor weighing on me when making the decision to have a child.

I wish I could have my husband's support, but yesterday I was spiraling about our financial situation and he got extremely frustrated with me. I told him last night I was scared he would get angry with me if I had PPD/anxiety and his response was "ya that shits hard for me."

These things are hard enough, without the added guilt of upsetting him. I am starting to think, it might be easier and better for me to stay with my mom. Even though she's her whole own set of problems, she has always been more understanding of my mental health struggles. Idk. I don't want my baby to suffer bc my own mental health is compounded by his reaction to it.

Has anyone else dealt with a partner post partum that doesn't "believe" in depression/anxiety?
