The CSK-RR trade rumours: my personal opinion.

So as we all know, theres rumours of a trade deal being possible between CSK and RR. It says that RR are willing to give Sanju to CSK in exchange for Jadeja and another player, (probably sam curran). Now, I do feel bad for Jadeja and CSK fans, but ig this trade benefits CSK more than RR. Sanju is 30 years old, meanwhile Jadeja is 36. Jadeja is very close to the end of his career, and maybe will play till the end of this cycle, at most. Whereas sanju will very likely play atleast 5 years, which is this cycle and also the next. Plus Sanju is a keeper batsman with captaincy experience, so imo he's the suitable successor to dhoni at CSK. Ofcourse, not as brilliant as dhoni, but sanju is good too. They do have urvil patel, but he isn't as experienced of a keeper, and will take a while to learn. Dhoni is still playing, but we've seen last season that maybe his body is not supporting him as much anymore, so we can't be so sure how long he'll play. Since sanju has captaincy experience too, they can make him the captain if they wanted to. Even if CSK continue with Gaikwad as the captain, if there's a time that he's unavailable due to an injury or whatever, Sanju can fill his shoes. Jadeja has definitely done alot for CSK and the fans may have that kinda attachment with him, but this is all part of franchise leagues. No player is permanent at a particular franchise. So yeah, if the trade is finalised and really happens, I feel like CSK benefits more than RR.
