I think i'm going crazy [The Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival]

I was discussing with a different community the novel and the manga adaptation of [The Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival], we were discussing the future events of the Novel, at some point i said that i have stopped reading it because (i will mark is as spoiler just to be safe) >!the novel at times is weird and gross, the author quite often sexualizes the main heroine, the story is awesome, but I remember often reading stuff like: Well, even though she is currently 8 years old, because of her physical training/blablabla/ mana training, she actually looks 13-14 and men as well as boys look at her with lustful gazes. !<

!Another weird moment is when she turned 9, she received a new leather armor that was "featuring" her curves or something like that (it's been a year or two since i was reading it, the i do not remember it clearly), and the author again pulled something like: She is 9, but that's fine, she looks 14, she has a seductive aura /blablabla/ men are staring at her (and at her growing breasts) even more. {???} !<

!This was so weird, at the start i ignored such moments, but when it happened like 3-4 times, i have dropped the novel. The reason why i think i'm freakin' losing my mind is how zealously people defended the story and author, i felt like i am the only one who think it's weird. !<

!People were constantly mentioning, the age of consent in Japan to be 14 and s*t like that, her physical appearance, or that at the beginning of the novel, she got the memories of an adult woman, so technically she has the "adult" brain.!<

Am i the weirdo? Am i losing my s*t?
