Silence from a prospect is usually a fund issue. Dont push it and make it uncomfortable. My take.

When I was initially getting into sales, I felt that silence from a client is a personal affront to me, given that there was initial interest and they asked for the pitch. If a client doesn't like the pitch they would tell you straight. But if they are quiet, its most likely a funding issue. Dont put yourself in their shoes, sales people are quiet straight forward, like if someone tries to sell me something and I cant afford to buy it, then I say I cant afford this now. Maybe later. But when you are pitching to high net worth individuals, they cant front to themselves the fact that a product is beyond their current budget, so they dont want to reveal that to a sales person, thus, the ghosting occurs.

Some other exit pathways are when they say, they are investing in another project, which is most likely a face saving technique. Both these techniques are face savers.

So, instead of pushing it, try to develop your pipeline more.

Any thoughts?
