Traveling to Singapore and he's sponsoring my trip.
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m a Filipina, and I’ll be traveling soon to Singapore with my singaporean boyfriend. We’re flying together, and he’s sponsoring our trip. This will be my first time traveling abroad, so I just want to make sure everything goes smoothly at immigration.
Here are some of my questions:
What documents or papers should I prepare since he’s sponsoring the trip? (like affidavit of support, hotel bookings, itinerary, etc. We have that already, what else?)
What possible questions might the immigration officer ask me?
Should we queue together at immigration or separately?
Is it okay if he pays for everything (flights, hotel, expenses), or will that look suspicious?
Should I still show proof of income or savings even if it’s sponsored?
Do they actually check your bank account even if the trip is sponsored?
Will they ask about our relationship like how we met or how long we’ve been together?
Any red flags I should avoid or things I shouldn’t say to the officer?
For context, I have a stable job here in the Philippines I can provide my Certificate of Employment (COE), approved leave form, company ID, and payslips to show that I’ll be coming back after the trip. Badly need your advise. Thank you!
