Pluribus - just a coincidence this is now?

Vince Gilligan, who helps write and produce The X-Files before Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is now doing science-fiction Pluribus, a new Apple TV+ series.

Are we meant to believe that whistleblowers are saying there's some psychic transdimensional future for humanity and we just happen to have a show about telepathy spreading through humans because of an alien virus right now? Surely this is part of the drip, drip, drip of disclosure?
