Tarot Seven kings and seven queens

Discussion

This post simply asumes that tarot cards are relevant for KKC and explains some of the meaning that would come from that in regards to the kings in the deck.

I dont want to add 14 pictures to the post somehow im sure that would lead to some problems with readability.

It took me a while to realize that there are seven kings in the deck because only four of them are named king. The king of staffs swords coins and chalice. Those four symbolise the mastery of a certain element. Swords for wind, earth for coins, water for chalice and fire for staffs. In the context of kingkiller you can imagin them as one who knows the true name of that element.

The fifth king is is named the emperor. He sits on a throne crown on is head and with the golden apple and staf in hand that symbolise mastery and authority over both the material and spiritual world. His number is four because he mastered all four elements and all theire mixtures.

the sixth king has the number 5 in the deck and is called the hierophant. Where the emperor uses his authority to rule over the mundane with the divine in mind the hirophant rules of the divine with the mundane in mind. The orange color of the floor he stands upon is the same color that surounds the world in wich the hirphant rules. He stands above it but holds no golden apple wich would be the kings symbol of authority over the kingdome on earth. he does not rule over it but noone in it rules over him. Hes a king in the sense that noone rules over him. Think of trapis who is a king in his cellar. He knows the names of all that come to him and he gives them orders like bring water and such but he does not rule over them. Nothing would happen if one wouldnt do as trapis says yet they do it because he knows them and they know him.

So we have four kings one for each element and then one for all of theire material aspects and one for all theire spiritual aspects but weirdly there is one last king. I call him the king of today. His throne has no rest at the back. The sky above him is as grey as the street benath his feet. The four of coins. has more coins than the king of coins. He stands on two of them and they shield his feet from hardship as the one thats heavy atop his crown shields him from the storm that turned the sky to grey. He hugs the fourth as if he wants to protect it. Its weirdly often a good sign to pull this card because it stands for security and a save passage through hard times. Yet as a king hes problematic. He cought four coins and thinks himself master of the four elements when they are all from the same element, earth. He holds no staff because hes lacks acces to the spiritual world. The four of coins doesnt know the name of earth or stone he knows the name of money but thinks that money is the name of everything.

There are seven queens as well. The highpriestes mirrors the hierophant into the feminin just as the empress mirrors the emperor. The seventh queen is justice.

Justice wears the same crown as the four of coins and also lacks both apple and staff. Instead she holds a sword and scales. The scales are two golden half-rounds so the image of a golden apple thats split in half comes to mind. Spliting the world into two instead of ruling over it. Drawing justice from the deck stands for the consequences of an action catching up. Wether thats good or bad depends entirely on the context. Justice is not good or bad it makes good it makes bad. Justice divides a road into the right and wrong side to walk on. Justice builds a wall between city and wilderness between here and there between us and them. And yet justice knows no names, has mastered nothing and is uncaring. Justice hunts encanis to the end of the world. Justice divides men into men and demon.

Four of coins would steal the moon and put it in a safe. Justice would cut the moon in half. Give the bright side to one the dark side to another.

The amyr where wandering judges. Neighter good nor bad, those categories only apply to those who stand before the justice. They themselfs are always weighing one against another always cutting things in half. Solve non coagula. Frightening indeed.

One the other side is Haliax who thinks himself a ruler because he knows one name. Fe the name of iron fe rule the rule of iron. The four of coins the king of coins and coins in temerant are iron. If stercus had been in cinders place he would have used the same words against him. After all money is a tool so for someone who mistackes money for everything, everything becomes a tool.
