Need some help/advice
I’m looking at a 2010 Camry XLE. It’s loaded and clean for the age. With a 3.5 V6. I have two concerns. It has 290k miles on it but very well maintained with only two owners. Second is the transmission is throwing a po741 po796 p2714. From all my investigating it all leads back to the solenoid issues. The person who has it up for sale just sunk $4200 in the front end parts plus a new radiator and oil cooler with all receipts for proof. They’re only asking $500 for this car. Is the 290k miles to many miles? Is it just about wore out? I want to use this car as a commuter for around 100 miles a day and park my pickup. I’m a bit out of my element in the Toyota world and asking for advice. Also are the solenoids worth replacing or should I just replace the valve body. I’m assuming buying the solenoids straight from Toyota is the best option. Thanks in advance for all your help.
