Windscreen wipers stopped working - intermittently - 2019 disco sport. Any ideas?

Any ideas other than “take it to a dealer” would be preferable.

Windscreen wipers just wouldn’t go yesterday then ten mins into the drive they started and began to behave perfectly normally.

Today same story except I’m only driving 5 mins along the road to the shops so as I’ve arrived here they’re still dead.

I definitely don’t think it’s the wiper motor as when they do kick in they work absolutely perfectly.

Any tips for debugging? I’m certainly no mechanic but I’m comfortable and experienced enough to get in about things to a certain level.
