How I went from procrastinating all evening to finishing my work before dinner every day, what finally clicked
Hey everyone,
A few months ago I realized I was basically giving away my evenings to social media and random browsing, and then starting work around 10pm feeling awful and unproductive. I decided enough was enough and switched things up.
I set the alarm for 6:30pm instead of binging Netflix and spent 30 minutes planning tomorrow’s tasks instead of killing time.
I removed the “quick check social media” habit after lunch, which was easily 45 minutes or more.
I committed to a “no zero day” rule: even if I only did one short meaningful task, it counted.
It wasn’t sexy. I still lost focus sometimes and had days when I slipped back. But after three weeks I noticed I was consistently starting work earlier, finishing by 8:30pm, had more energy, and felt less dread.
What really helped me was realizing that small habits matter because they’re consistent.
Question for you: What’s the smallest change you could make right now that would shift when you start your productive time?
