Costume references in Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X
Introduction
You might know Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X is my favourite game in the entire Tales of series.
This game has a class system, not unlike some Final Fantasy games. The two main characters, Dio (male) and Mell (female), can wear different costumes that grant them different classes.

I wanted to make a post about the possible references, inspirations, or shout-outs among the costumes.
Perhaps some of them are a stretch, perhaps not.
I warn you I found more references in Mell's costumes than Dio's.

Golden Swordsman: Gilgamesh (Tower of Druaga)
Sword Emperor: Jubei Yagyu (Samurai Shodown). Ironically, this costume's eyepatch and hairstyle may have inspired QQ Selezneva.
