Wife's 4th Death Anniversary đź’”

I don’t really know how to put this into words, but I feel like I need to say something out loud instead of letting it sit heavy in my chest.

Four years… it feels both impossibly long and painfully close. People talk about “moving on,” but the truth is, you don’t move on from someone who was a part of your soul. You just learn how to live around the hole they left.

She was my calm, my warmth, my laughter on days when nothing felt right. She had this way of loving that made even ordinary moments feel special. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her — the sound of her voice, the way she looked at our future with so much hope, the quiet moments we shared that I didn’t realize would become memories I would hold onto for dear life.

Grief is strange. Some days I can carry it. Other days it crushes me without warning. And on days like today, the anniversary, it feels like the world pauses just long enough for all the sadness to catch up again.

I miss her in ways I cant fully explain. I miss who I was when she was here. I miss the life we were supposed to have.

If anyone out there is going through something similar, I am sorry. Truly. It’s a kind of pain you cant describe to someone who hasnt lived it. But you’re not alone. I remind myself of that too.

Thank you for reading this. Writing it doesn’t fix the hurt, but it helps me breathe a little easier.

Rest in peace, my love. Four years without you, and I still carry you with me every single day.
