How did you handle financial proof for EU student visas?

I’ve been thinking of doing my Master’s degree in Europe. I haven’t yet decided exactly on what country. My main concern has obviously been the visa requirements.

I was wondering how did you handle the financial proof when you were still in Sudan or displaced without a stable local bank account?

I do have the funds enough for the degree and my living expenses, it’s just not in a bank account.
