Azata tips for next playthrough

Guys I need help. I really should have done paladin angel my first playthrough, but I chose fighter. Now I want to do another good playthrough for my second go around.

I hear azata is chaotic good, and that sounds great but tbh I’m not confident in my ability to play spellcasters, and I hear azata is meant for casters.

Regardless, how do I make my caster not feel like dead weight? I’m intending to be some variant of sorcerer.
