About to go on my yearly replay of the series before the big announcement but i am in a big dilemma

Instead of HL1 (which i've played countless times) should i go for Black Mesa? I only played it once and it was before the XEN update.

Or should i play the original again and then after finishing it (or even after finishing HL2 and its episodes) try Black Mesa?
