I wanted to merge my accounts with cross progression. Not link them

I Genuinely thought we were gonna be able to merge our accounts like with overwatch, apex, fortnite etc. I think this link thing they’ve done for cross progression is kinda dumb. As someone who started on ps5 then moved to pc I’m very annoyed that I can’t merge my items onto one account, I’ve spent money on both accounts and I hate that I now just have to pick which one to use. Allowing us to merge accounts would be the smarter idea. I can’t be the only one who thought that’s what they were gonna do, right?
