1 month old and 3 year old, I'm choosing peace over perfection.
I feel the judgement of my mother in law in my head as the same baskets of laundry have been unfolded and sitting in the living room for 2 weeks. The dishes are always piling up, beds unmade.
We also just moved 3 weeks ago and there is a lot to do, but I cannot focus on that.
I'm EXHAUSTED. Our littlest one has me up every few hours to eat. I'm breastfeeding and I'm just coming off weeks of stress from the move. I hate to play the hormone card, but I'm irritable, emotional, and hormonal.
My husband works 9 hours a day and I miss him. Because there is less daylight and due to exhaustion. I'm falling asleep at 7 these days and he gets home at 4:30.
My sleep is broken and I'm meeting hundreds of little demands a day from my kids, while trying to meet my most basic needs to keep myself functional.
I could see maybe a stay at home parent whose kids are in school getting more accomplished, but I don't think it's healthy or sustainable for me in this season of life to have everything be spick and span.
Is anyone else in this boat?
