For the inevitable Final Fantasy 17 (and maybe Clair Obscur 2), should i go for Steam Machine or a proper PC in the future?

Title says it all. I'm looking forward to buy a machine in the future that would let me play Final Fantasy and Clair Obscur in the long run, as well as fun indie titles of any production budget value and emulation.
