Nightmare-
Okay so I just wrote on Ibis the nightmare I had like it was a journal entry, because Jesus Christ this one shook me up. But the concept made me think a lot of things made the Smilers a possibility so I’ll leave this here and put my thoughts together once I paste it in.
“I had a nightmare. One hell of a nightmare. It was weird. So I was living with my father and big sister in an old house he used to own in a suburb, except it was like this house of monsters. All the other monsters seemed fine, they’d grow hostile sometimes but rarely ever. But then there was a specific monster that was awful.
They were called Smilers. They were these tall Japanese woman in kimonos, looked very beautiful too. And would often help around the house. However out of nowhere, their bodies will increase in length, their limbs stretch a little and their skin discolors into a grey almost like a corpse. Their smiles will stretch past their cheeks and their eyes will grow big and their irises take most of the white. Once that happens almost instantly, they’ll go after someone random in the house with a knife or a pair of scissors, running at inhuman speeds and once they catch you, they’ll go after carve a smile into their face. Then they’ll bleed out and die.
My big sister was one of the victims. Heard her bloodcurdling scream from the house. Think she died. Anyways later in the dream I whispered and begged for dad to drive me home. Since living in constant paranoia of being killed like that out of nowhere was too much. And he agreed quietly after some contemplating. But he had to do something first so I waited in the kitchen.
But then three Smilers entered from the back entrance gracefully carrying groceries inside. And I think I couldn’t take it anymore so I went out the way they came in as quietly as I could. And as soon as I was out I began to run through backyards of other peoples homes. It was starting to get dark and I kept tripping on stuff, specifically someone’s garden. I don’t know if I died or not but I woke up sweating.
And I still feel shaken up by those creatures even now that I’m awake, my heart won’t stop beating.“
So like, I’m sure a few things contributed to the nightmare. One would be the pretty awesome Facade series made by Substantial, since I’ve been thinking and looking at posts about it and they made a mini comic that was also really interesting where a character calls their OC, Charcoal, “Smiler”.
Also yesterday night I was watching some horror videos by BizarreBub with some friends in a call and there was a video that had a woman who looked like a corpse enter a store. So yeah, what a weird dream. I’m gonna make breakfast soon to shake these feelings off TvT
