How to get stock footage of contributors without paying thousands

So… Hi everyone.

I’ve made a doc featuring a few Olympic athletes as well as the Lionesses (England Women’s Football team).

I’ve been using some holding footage in the edit so far but our screening is in 2 weeks time and getting actual Olympics footage is not viable.

We’re releasing to YouTube but with YouTube’s backing so have to do everything by the book.

My question is… where the heck do you find stock of people in the public eye which doesn’t cost thousands in total.

I probably need 15 shots of various athletes for establishing introductions etc, especially with the Olympics footage it’s like £500+ per clip

Any ideas?

Last resort is photo montage but hoping to avoid.

Any advice welcome!

Thanks in advance
