Alright, so… I think I already made an adult Dan drawing and all that, but honestly, I never actually talked about the lore here. I told one guy in DMs, but never publicly, so here we go…

The lore comes from one of my fanfics that I already posted (yeah, it’s in Portuguese because I’m Brazilian :P and I’m way too lazy to subtitle all that… hahaha). Anyway, long story short, Wavern is basically the main Bakugan. She’s a ghost when she first meets my OC, and since my OC can form connections and make “magic” with Bakugans, they end up linking to each other.

But they’ve been connected WAY before the events of the first season even happened. The two of them develop a fighting style based on Angie (my OC) creating an armor that Wavern’s spirit can enter to battle other Bakugans, even if it only lasts about 7 minutes…

With some off-screen adventures, Angie and Wavern discover that their timeline was altered specifically so Wavern would die. Because she was carrying Drago’s baby. And at that time, she didn’t know she was also descended from a cosmic creature. (Drago is a descendant of Genesis, and Wavern comes from a Bakugan created by the literal creator of the multiverse… imagine that kid??) So Genesis, scared the child would turn evil, teamed up with one of the Brawlers in the original timeline and reset everything.

When Wavern and Angie found out, they were furious, because that Celestial Cult (it wasn’t just Genesis, it was a whole bunch of cosmic Bakugan beings) was rewriting spacetime however they wanted, letting planets be destroyed and dimensions fall into chaos…

And that’s Angie and Wavern’s story: traveling through spacetime, visiting parallel universes, fighting cosmic creatures and dimensional wars to fix the whole mess.

The multiverse creator ended up needing to be rebuilt by them, and in the middle of that, he grants Angie a wish. And guess what the crazy elf asked for?

Exactly.

For Wavern to be alive again with no cosmic interference.

The creator actually agreed since Wavern wasn’t supposed to die in the first place.

But there was one catch: Wavern had spent a long time fighting but never actually absorbing her evolution powers. So in the end, the girl came back evolved and more buff than a gym rat on creatine and horse steroids.

After fixing everything, Angie spent her time studying Bakugan draconian biology (she used to experiment on herself to create a regenerative property for Wavern. She’s obsessed with her. As Wavern says in one part of my fic, “she is to me what Dan is to Drago… if I told her to jump off a cliff, she’d already be mid-air right after I said ‘jump’.”)

So after graduating and solving more cosmic issues, Angie decides Wavern needs to go back to Earth to live with Drago, and Angie (who was born on Earth) decides she should stay with Wavern too…

And that’s the lore.

(Please ignore my buff Wavern.)

That fanfic about adult Dan.
