After twenty repeats...

Opinion

I'm looking at HOPE as just half of him. FEAR is the other half. In HOPE, he has more songs based on self-confidence, self-reliance, battling against mental health and staying in the winner's circle. But in FEAR, it sounds like the voices in his head that fight against all of that. Just another perspective in his head– the yin and yang of it all.

Of course this album isn't just the other half of HOPE, a lot of lyrics are based on recency so this wasn't EXACTLY planned, but we know him enough to know that FEAR itself was planned.

I'm going on a tangent to explain this, because I think it ties to how he wrote this EP. The lyrics aren't just him talking about his FEAR, but how his FEAR responds– like the same with HOPE.

I also seen some people thinking he's stopping his career, whether temporarily or permanently– I don't see it really. Washed Up talks about this, but Nate is a fighter! He's been fighting his FEAR for years, and I don't see him giving up ever. I see it more as him explaining to us what he thinks about.

If anything, I'd be shocked if ANY person EVER never felt like this. "Should I quit?" Is a common question in the human mind, but the rumination, constant questioning and anticipation– that's what makes it worse. And he has experienced that. Will he stop? I hope not.

This EP is BEAUTIFUL! Lyrically and instrumentally– he has done it YET AGAIN!🗣️🗣️
