Naging 'Coach' ako bigla...and it feels different!
So ito na nga...
I've been a silent reader across freelancing groups, and for a long time I've watched a painful pattern repeat itself, over and over:
- "Pano ba maghanap ng client?"
- "Client ended working relationship, churns, ghosts - pano na?"
- "Sana all may client, client dust everyone"
- "Ubos na connects ko, wala pa din"
My background is in B2B business development, and I knew that this skill set is very much adaptable sa freelancers. It can positively solve the exact problems above. Pero everytime nakakakita ako ng mga ganitong posts, I shrug it off na lang.
Pero recently, I saw another post asking for help. Let's name him "Joe." His client suddenly ended his contract while he was under the impression it was a long-term project.
Clearly, Joe was desperate and in panic. If he can't find a client soon enough, everything might fall apart.
So I invited him to a short conversation to see where I can help. Knowing he needed immediate results, without complicating it, I advised him to change the way he's writing messages using a simple framework na ginagamit ko sa B2B.
I hoped it would work for him, and guess what? within 24 hours, he received a response on Upwork. And now he's getting invites daw sa Upwork na dati wala.
I was really excited that it worked. But what really hit me was the complete shift in his mindset.
He went from being a lost, desperate, anxious freelancer to someone who felt in control, realizing he could create opportunities instead na "sana all" na lang lagi.
He started calling me "coach."
...which, to be honest, felt good! Haha.
"Grabe Coach, ang dami kong nabago sa methods ko... I feel like I am in control right now because of your teachings. I sincerely hope you will build courses. I will be your witness talaga sa effectiveness ng ways mo."
Is this it? Parang worth it sundan. If this resonates with you, then maybe there's more reason to help more freelancers like Joe.
