I think i made a mistake buying a 3d printer

So i bought a bambu lab a1 thinking since it's always so highly praised that i'd be able to pull it off too. But sadly i've been coming to the realization that 3d printing might just not be for me.

I've built many props before. Since like the age of 12, started making them out of cardboard then with eva foam and now 3d printing. However cardboard and eva foam all have something in common. I am in control of how my pieces turn out. With 3d printing i don't. I feel like i no longer have control which sucks because it feels like 3d printing has a bunch of different ways of recieving the same results, while some of these ways contradict themselves. And it's all techinical that just don't make sense to me at all. All in all it's just confusing and really overwhelming. I also am starting to feel really dumb because everyone always recommends the bambu lab printers as beginner friendly and i'm already only having failed prints😭😭
