Bedtime mode

After the last update, bedtime mode went off the rails for my P8P. I have two schedules, one for weekdays (M-F) and one for weekends (S-S). Bedtime mode, indicated by the quarter moon icon in the top right of the display, would come on then never go off unless I manually turned it off. Restarting the phone and clearing the app cache did nothing to fix the problem. Then I looked at the schedules. There was an obvious conflict as the weekday schedule was showing active 7 days a week. The same for the weekend schedule -7 days on. So I fixed that conflict and selected the proper days for each schedule. Then last night was I woken up with a text sent to my watch. Bedtime mode was not on? Yeah, not on. Another issue.

I usually check this app directly from the front top pulldown of quick buttons. Bedtime mode was showing the right schedule, but it was not on. When I touched the bedtime icon, it went directly to a setup mode. It showed the same bedtime schedule for weekdays, but again, all 7 days of the week were on. OK, whatever. I let it ride. I checked the weekend schedule. It was also (again) showing all 7 days ON with its own independent time. The conflict was back? (I note that after I change these settings, I usually but not always restart my phone). I deleted the weekend schedule. Letting the single bedtime mode take over for all days. I do not understand why this conflict with schedules persisted after changing it previously.

Then I was surprised. I was still in a bedtime time, and the phone went black and white, something I had not seen (ever), indicating it was in bedtime mode. This is a nice surprise because sometimes I have been out and about driving before the bedtime mode is off, and I cannot figure out why my phone will not connect to my android head unit on my vehicle. Dummy! You are in bedtime mode. But the little moon is not much of an indicator--B/W in the display is much better.

Anyway I had looked around for a solution to this problem here on this forum and wanted to pass along my own experience. Will this change hold? Or will it revert to some other mode? Time will tell.
