About a week ago I posted the first 2 pictures on here asking for more experienced folks’ insight on what the heck was going on with my ribbing.

Within that post I said I didn’t plan on frogging the project to work on my perfectionist tendencies. (For some slight context: I’ve been crocheting since 2017/2018 and it’s been a habit of mine to frog over and over to make my project juuuust right.)

Well, it was my surprise to learn from the comments that ribbing is something that needs to NOT be riddled with continuous mistakes in order for it to work properly! Gotta love some sweet, sweet irony LOL!

I put my hubris aside and frogged my progress, reminding myself that this action wasn’t me trying to be “perfect”, but rather me *learning how to knit*!

The last 4 pictures are what this WIP looks like currently. I made sure to be more diligent with identifying my stitches (I knit my knits and purl my purls), and I am so much happier with it!

Thank you to those who took the time to comment their advice and give me pointers regarding my ribbing!

Something new I learned from this moment: I was unintentionally knitting the seed stitch in a portion of my ribbing! Seed stitch is the opposite of ribbing!! So cool!!! (I’ll never **NOT** know how to do seed stitch now LOL 🤣)

Oh! Also: I hope there is a lack of twisting!

There were a few comments under my first post pointing out that I may have twisted my work in that first attempt.

When I got to the point of joining in the round for this second attempt, I realized as I was rereading the pattern’s instructions that I mixed up how I moved my stitches the first time! (I moved the last stitch from my left needle to my right needle, when the pattern specifically says right to left…😅)

I’m not sure if that has much of an impact regarding twisting, but fixing that coupled with making sure each stitch was turned in properly, I don’t feel twisting as I work! (I hope there is visual evidence that in these pictures LOL!)

Again, I appreciate all of the guidance I was given under that first post! I’m so grateful for this community’s willingness to help others along their knitting journeys. 🧶💛

As always: If anyone with more experienced eyes sees anything that needs to be addressed within my WIP, please don’t hesitate to say something. :)
