Is systematic options trading without charts actually passive or just marketed that way

Seeking Advice/Help

I make about 55k at my regular job and I've been researching passive income streams for almost a year but every time I look into options trading everyone says you need to watch charts constantly and monitor your positions throughout the day which does not feel passive at all, that's just a second job with extra steps but I keep seeing claims about "systematic options strategies" that only require 5-10 minutes daily, but I’m not sure like is this real or just marketing to get people to buy courses? I'm skeptical because it sounds too good to be true, but I also know some strategies are actually rules-based and don't need constant attention.

I have about 12k saved up specifically for this, I know that's small but I figure if I can generate even 10-15% annually without it consuming my life, then I can also compound it over time while keeping my day job, but I just need something truly passive that doesn't require me to become a chart expert or check my phone every hour.

Does actual passive options income exist, or is everything marketed as passive actually requiring way more time than advertised? I've been burned by "passive income" ideas before that turned into part time jobs.
