Eagles unusable after death

Last night I was on Borea (bot snow planet). During a blizzard, I accidentally ran into the lake with an Eagle Airstrike beacon in-hand. After I drowned and was reinforced, Airstrike read as "Activating" (presumably the active strat ball at the bottom of the lake) and it wouldn't re-set. I could not use either of my Eagles for the rest of the mission.

I don't know who else to tell so I'm posting here.
