Considering migrating from Obsidian, but markdown formatting is really keeping me out

General Scrivener Discussion & Advice

So I'd very much like to purchase a Scrivener license to work on my creative writing. I've been doing that on Obsidian but I'm in love with several Scrivener features.

I've downloaded the free trial and imported my Obsidian notes into Scrivener, only to find out that all of my research was now unreadable due to the way Scrivener displays markdown files. Links are not links, bold and italics show the markdown syntax, titles have '#' before them, images are not correctly inserted, etc.

After a thorough research on the internet I've come across a few workarounds that involve exporting the md files to RTF or DOCX and then re-importing those to Scrivener. Which I found really cumbersome since I have hundreds of research folders and notes, and the styling of the resulting Scrivener file was... not great.

I really couldn't care less about markdown, that's just the format Obsidian happens to make its notes in. I DON'T want to see any of it on my notes. I want them to be readable from Scrivener itself, not just after compiling, which is another typical response I saw.

Is there a workflow that can make this migration feasable without greying all of my hairs? Thanks!
