Hi, I’m Jonas and I’ve reached the stage of life where I’m no longer sure if I travel with luggage or for my luggage.

It started very normally: “I just need one good carry-on and one good checked bag.” Now my place looks like a rolling-stock museum curated by someone with control issues and a Rimowa bias.

The current lineup (aka: my shame inventory)

Check-in workhorses (present & future): • Rimowa Essential Check-In L – Blue • With a BLU341 clear cover, white zipper. • I chose white for visibility on the carousel, then remembered dirt exists. Too late, it works. • Rimowa Hybrid Check-In L – Black (about to be added) • No zippers, just that clamshell “coffin latch” lock system. • Will also get a BLU341 cover, probably with a different zipper color so I can tell the two apart without squinting like a raccoon at 3 a.m. in baggage claim. • Travelpro Platinum Elite 29” – Dark Blue • The big mammoth. Good, functional, deeply unsexy. • Currently in the “backup / domestic / I-don’t-care-if-you-get-scratched” role. • Ancient polycarbonate Tumi (check-in) • Old, tough, refuses to die. Basically the Toyota Hilux of my luggage.

Cabin / carry-on: • Rimowa Original Cabin – Silver • The default cabin bag. • Meds, electronics, anything irreplaceable lives here. Checked baggage will not decide my blood pressure meds. • Rimowa Essential Lite Cabin – Graphite • The “spare child.” Almost never used, but emotionally cannot be sold. • Rotates in as backup cabin / loaner / light travel setup.

Personal item & office-on-wheels: • Briggs & Riley @Work Medium Cargo Backpack (KK526) • Lives on the trolley sleeve, not on my back (spine history, I don’t pretend to be 25 and bulletproofm). • Laptop, documents, chargers, general CEO chaos.
