Multiple folds , complex - not impossible

43M Indian born Canadian Citizen living in US on L1A with I140 approved(EB1C - PD Jan/25). My 17M(L2Y) is up for under graduation university admissions(2026 fall). Once he gets university acceptance can he switch from L2Y to F1 seamlessly? if yes, does that has anything to do with my I140 status? what other implications i might face which i cant imagine today. ?
