[Off Topic] Free Chat Friday | 14th November 2025

Welcome all to another week in November wherein the amount of rain has somehow INCREASED since I said it was bonkers already last week! Should I tempt the weather gods again? Let’s not, and also say we didn’t.

For anyone brand new here, hello and welcome! For all those regulars, welcome back! We're happy to have all of you. This is a space for us to get to know one another better and chat about whatever fits your fancy.

We made it through the kiddo’s 9th birthday and then promptly had to deal with some behavioural issues in school the next day (because for real kid, can’t you just give us a break for a minute???) Hoping all is resolved and learning has occurred now, but this past week has been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for the whole family.

Very little reading done this week but I’m greatly enjoying A Memory Called Empire so far! I need to start The Exorcist over the weekend to have it finished for my prosecco book club. Has anyone else read it? If so, what did you think of it?

My year-end review is due today and, listen, am I procrastinating? Yes, kind of. Should I have gotten it done before today, the day it is due? Of course. Did I assume earlier in the week I’d have ample time on a quiet Friday to get it done and then fate found her sticky little fingers into my inbox with an urgent time sensitive request that took priority? Listen, all I know is I am easily able to procrastinate further with this here Free Chat Friday post, so let’s get on with it!
