Tall plumeria no branches 🤷‍♀️

Hi everyone, I’ve asked this question a couple times and I don’t think anyone’s ever really answered it. I have a plumeria it’s in a pot a very large pot and it’s growing indoors because of the climate where I live. It has reached about 14 feet in height and is currently in a Y shape. I wish I could get it to branch lower on the plant so I could trim it, but I don’t know how to do it. Has anyone attempted to notch a plumeria to encourage branching? It is very frustrating but I’m also afraid if I do something like that, it could kill it. It’s healthy otherwise but it’s not the most attractive plant in the world.
