Guys my 3yo took care of me when I had the flu and I’m still emotional
Guys, I’ve been laid up with the flu the past two days and feeling absolutely miserable. This morning, my 3-year-old came into my room carrying her favorite blanket (the tattered unicorn one she won’t sleep without) and a sippy cup of water. She climbed onto the bed, tucked the blanket around me like I usually do for her, and said, “Mommy sick, need snuggles.” Then she sat next to me and sang the lullaby I sing to her every night – off-key, messy, and the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard. I teared up so hard she got worried and wiped my face with her tiny hand. Parenting is chaos 90% of the time, but moments like this? Worth every sleepless night. Does anyone else have a kid who’s tried to “parent” them back?
