One week after UNESCO interview
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice because I’m getting a bit anxious. I had an interview last Friday with UNESCO for a consultant role. The interview itself went well and the team told me they ideally want someone to start by the end of this month. Because of that comment, I assumed things would move quickly. Now it’s been exactly a week since the interview and I still haven’t heard anything. I don’t know if the silence is normal or if it’s a bad sign.
It’s been 7 calendar days, but technically only 5 business days. Is this normal for UNESCO or similar UN agencies even when they say they want someone urgently? And at what point does following up become appropriate without looking impatient? I’m not sure if this delay is totally normal or something I should worry about.
