What to do with research material?

Hello!

Recently I got my hand on some research works of deceased egyptologists. Those consist of handwrited notebooks, dawings,notes / printed photos (a lot, a lot of sites ) / home made printed books / first version of manuscript of published books and research papers...

I have two questions, I have no interested in keeping the majority of it, do you know if someone (person or entity) could be interested for archive purposes ?

For those who gather and keep research materials through the years, how to you wish to see it go after your death?
