Anyone here run mouse tracking tests? Worth the effort?
I’ve been running a few mouse tracking tests on one of my landing pages just to see how people move around, where they pause, what they ignore, etc.
Not sure if I’m doing it right though some sessions look super insightful, others feel totally random. I can’t tell if I’m collecting meaningful data or just entertaining myself watching people wiggle their cursor around.
For those who’ve done mouse tracking tests seriously: How do you decide what’s “signal” vs “noise”? Do you run tests on all pages or just specific ones? And did it actually lead to any real improvements, or is it more of a “nice-to-have” kind of thing?
Curious how others approach it before I invest more time into it.
