Please provide feedback on my itinerary
I’m traveling with my family (husband and teenage daughter) to Ireland next August. We plan to make a home base in Dublin but include a number of day trips and an overnight in Galway. I’d love any feedback on my itinerary. Anything big we are missing? Anything not worth it? Is it realistic?
Tuesday — Arrive in Dublin in the morning and head to Hotel (Ballsbridge area). Trinity College, Book of Kells. Victorian Tea Bus Merrion Square
Wednesday — Full-day tour: Wicklow Mountains with a sheepdog demonstration, Glendalough monastic site, Kilkenny.
Thursday— DART to Howth, Ireland’s Eye boat tour, lighthouse pier.
Friday — Bus tour trip to Cliffs of Moher, Atlantic Edge coastal walk. Overnight in Galway. Latin Quarter, Spanish Arch, and street music.
Saturday — Galway. Visit Quay Street and return to Dublin in the evening.
Sunday— Dún Laoghaire People’s Park Market in the morning, then take the DART to Dalkey and bust Dalkey Castle.
Monday - Dublin food tour in the morning. In the afternoon, Guinness Storehouse and possible Teeling Whiskey Distillery. Stroll Temple bar area on the afternoon.
Tuesday — DART to Malahide for castle tour and garden stroll.
Wednesday - Departure
Do we have a good mix? In terms of interests, we wanted to explore as much as possible without a car, my husband and I love food/drinks. My teenage daughter loves shopping, vintage markets, exploring neighborhoods.
