Etiquette question

Hey y’all, just started playing and have a question. I was at the extraction elevator after a successful foray and another Raider popped up. After we exchanged “don’t shoot” emotes, we got on the elevator together and hit the descend button.

He then proceeded to shoot me in the back.

I know this is pvp, and that’s fine, but I can’t help but feeling a little scorned and manipulated. Was my killing in bad taste or am I just too trusting?
