Solo female travelers

I finally have the ability to go on vacation and the friends who were going to go have backed out, I get to go solo but not sure where I want to go. We were going to the Texas coast but I think now I want to stay a bit closer since I'll be alone. Where have you fellow solo female travelers gone? Budget is about $1500, potential travel dates are Dec 25-Jan 2/3. I like visiting historic sites, relaxing views, and finding obscure things to do. I've done most of Tennessee solo (found a random pearl farm) and would prefer somewhere that snow shouldn't be an issue. I'm 46 if that is helpful.
