Tom Ford Ombre Leather vs Noir En Leather vs EM5 OMB Leather (review)

Review :7_Review:

This is my first time reviewing fragrances, so take this as just my personal experience, not a professional breakdown. I tested all three from decants today on both paper and skin.

Notes were taken at:
Opening → 30 minutes → 1 hour

Opening

Tom Ford Ombre Leather

Smoothest opening of the three. No alcohol blast. Clean, rounded, slightly animalic with a soft jasmine nuance. Feels expensive immediately — zero harshness.

Noir En Leather

Moderately sharp but not harsh. No big alcohol hit. Right from the start I get amber, jasmine, patchouli mixing with the leather. Sweet-warm opening with good presence.

EM5 Omb Leather

Sharp, harsh opening with a strong alcohol blast. Synthetic edge noticeable. Strong earthy-leather initially, but not well-blended and feels the roughest of the three.

30-Minute Mark

Tom Ford Ombre Leather

Soft, smooth, well-balanced. White florals + suede leather and subtle. Not loud, but carries that refined TF signature.

Noir En Leather

Leather strengthens but stays balanced. Jasmine/Patchouli sweetness becomes more prominent. Loud, sweet, and projecting well, but still controlled.

EM5 Omb Leather

Still slightly synthetic. Sweetness rises — jasmine + amber noticeable. Leather moves to the background. Mid feels a little sweeter than leathery.

1-Hour Mark

Tom Ford Ombre Leather

Premium, smooth, elegant. Still balanced with that subtle floral-suede character. Quieter than Noir En but much more refined.

Noir En Leather

Feels strong and surprisingly premium. Sweet leather still balanced and smooth. Projects well and carries loudly.

EM5 Omb Leather

Synthetic edges still there. Leather mostly fades out and it becomes more of an amber/patchouli-sweet spicy scent. Decent, but clearly the weakest in refinement.

My Conclusion

Noir En Leather comes surprisingly close in overall experience. It’s louder, sweeter, and more projecting, with a stronger patchouli-amber twist, making it the best value-for-money option if you want a bold leather that still smells somewhat premium.

EM5, while wearable, stays the most synthetic throughout, with a harsh opening and a dry-down that shifts more into sweet amber and patchouli rather than true leather, making it the least refined of the three.

Overall: TF for quality, Noir En for performance and value, EM5 only if you’re on a tight budget.
