My father’s take on Kerala govt project engineers
My father has been working with Kerala government projects for years (not as a permanent employee), and he says many of the new engineers only have book knowledge. They talk for hours about technical terms but don’t really understand what’s happening on-site. He even met a top college ranker who couldn’t do a simple project estimation calculation.
Meanwhile, older officers with real field experience know how things actually work. They even use loopholes in the rules to help applicants get services faster without taking bribes.
Is the gap between theory and real-world skills increasing in Kerala’s engineering space?
