Old man, first PC in years, need a gaming mouse

Question

I'm building a modest little rig so I can play co-op games with my son on his. It's been decades since I gamed on PC, and the selection of mice and keyboards is overwhelming. I'm not going to be playing e-sports or shooters, mostly casual co-op games with a 10 year old.

Here's the kicker, I use an MX Master 3 at home and work, I love that mouse, it's just a bit on the heavy side and low polling for gaming. If there was something ergonomic but lighter that would be a big plus. I've looked at at least 40 or 50 mice and can't narrow it down.
