Seeking Advice

There’s a lot of background. At my per diem job. We work in the same department. Initially he was with me how he is with anyone else. Then after a while, his demeanor started to change near me and noticeably that a nurse made a comment to him about it when I came in to cover a case to relieve someone for lunch. I didn’t see him that way but then I started to notice I was very drawn to his demeanor. I started to feel more and more attracted to him even though we didn’t have much interaction at all. I see him maybe a few times a month and maybe work a few cases together.

You know when you’re attracted to someone how your normal “self” is different? That’s how he is around me. He’s quiet and uses a gentle tone with me. He was away for a few months and when he got back, he locked eyes with me for so long I felt flustered and looked away. A few weeks later he opened my dating profile on a specific marriage minded app but didn’t send a like, didn’t dislike, and didn’t block. I viewed him back. The other day he was talking with someone after a case inside the lab and I was standing in the control room. I looked over and while he was talking to that person, his gaze was held on me. When I caught him he didn’t look away. But he doesn’t talk.

Is he afraid of crossing a line? I’ve heard he’s not that shy but he does seem shy around me. Culturally speaking and even in modern day, it’s typical for the man to make the move and I don’t want to take that from him but I’ve been going crazy trying to figure it out because I very much like him. What action can I take/should I take? I know people say if he wanted to, he would approach but, when it comes to risk at work do you think he’s just paralyzed? I’m sorry I know this is a lot. Thanks in advance
