Should I use a better docking station for dual monitor setup?

Hello!

I have a 120hz and a 60hz monitor connected to my laptop via an HDMI splitter. The splitter also has the charger running through it.

I found that I can't use my 120hz monitor at 120hz because it drains my battery fast. Will using a better docking station like the image attached be more safe for my battery or will it drain just the same?
