Train door never opened at Jamaica

Not sure what happened exactly, but I was on the platform at 8:30 for the 8:32 train to LIC. I see a train, but half the train is adjacent to the platform towards the front, the other half is beyond the platform. Needless to say the doors never opened and have to wait 25 minutes for the next train due to their error. This is frustrating, especially during “rush hour”. I go and speak to the information agent, and this guy looks me in my eyes and tells me he saw the train stop and passengers got on. I asked what time was this if the train was supposed to leave at 8:32, and for context the LIC trains NEVER arrive early. So basically this guy was just full of crap.
