I keep showing up every day, but it feels like life just stopped showing up for me
A few months ago the company I worked for went under. I’ve been applying non-stop since, rewriting my CV, sending out applications hoping for a that one email that never comes. Just endless interviews followed by “we have gone with another candidate”.
Eventually I decided to become a freelancer and started my journey as a virtual assistant. I thought maybe I could rebuild from what I already know, find purpose again and create something of my own. I’ve done everything I can, showing up online, learning new tools, building systems, reaching out, trying to stay visible.
Months later, I still haven’t actually gotten to work. No clients. No “yes”. Just the quiet kind of rejection that wears you down over time.
I keep telling myself to stay strong, that it takes time, but I would be lying if I said I was okay. Some days it feels like I’m shouting into a void that never answers back.
Just felt like getting this off my heart so I can feel a bit lighter.
