EOS Lighting Help
First time reddit poster here! I got called into a high school the other day to help with a lighting issue, but I ran into a problem I have never seen before.
Basically this is a country school with a big theatre that recently had a turnover in their theatre department, but the current director had no training on anything and was just thrown in, i.e. calling me. I arrive and he tells me "I can get everything to turn on, but no individual lights". So, I go and check the patch and everything and I mean everything (about 35 lights) are programmed in a 1 by system (for reference; the lights being used are ColorSource Pars and ColorSource Spot Jrs. if I am recalling correctly). At this point I am trying things, you can turn all the house lights, backstage, and work lights on with channels 1-45, but the only way to turn on stage lights is to run Channel 1-250 at Full.
I erased some of their patch to test an individual light in the cat walk and did get access to that light, but in return every other light stopped working (frame of reference; I used patch 30-36?, again not there, and as soon as I hit enter every light shut off).
Here is my question, is there a way to not have to repatch the entire theatre without knowing the internal patch numbers for their house lights (and all the normal lights they need for class). They have a "wall light" that controls the house dimmers, but needs to be shut off before turning the board on or it "erases" the program (or so I am told). I just don't want them to lose access to their normal lights, but also don't want to spend hours going up and down this theatre doing this by myself. (Another note, I broke my back earlier this year so it is harder to get around these days)
Any help would be great! I am tackling this on Sunday!
